The Raritan Bay Area YMCA is currently accepting applications/resumes for a Preschool Administrative Assistant – P/T.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic urban, growing organization just 5 miles west of New York City in the water front city of Perth Amboy. The Raritan Bay Area YMCA has served the ever-evolving needs of our community since 1912. We enthusiastically serve over 6,000 members in the Raritan Bay area in our community building initiatives through Healthy Living, Youth Development and Social Responsibility.
Under the supervision of the Preschool Director, the Preschool Administrative Assistant serves as the Preschool’s first point of contact for all students, parents, visitors, and staff; providing the upmost level of customer service, support, and professionalism at all times. The Preschool Administrative Assistant is responsible for the operation of the preschool’s front office; assist with enrollment efforts; meet families to identify immediate needs; as well as coordinate and facilitate parent meetings and workshops as needed.
The Preschool Administrative Assistant will consistently strive to demonstrate cause-driven leadership through the following YMCA Leadership Competencies - Mission Advancement; Collaboration; Operational Effectiveness and Personal Growth. In addition, the ideal candidate will engage in and promote the YMCA mission through the core values: Honesty, Caring, Responsibility, Respect and Faith.
Some duties include, but are not limited to:
- Perform various administrative responsibilities.
- Assist teachers and staff as needed.
- Perform receptionist responsibilities; including answering and screening calls.
- Arrange and conduct facility tours for prospective parents.
- Provides excellent customer service to parents, visitors and students in the Y and on the phone
- Assist with soliciting of the program and the registration process for families
This is a part-time, nonexempt position.
