ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Ensures effective facilitation by working with appropriate staff to streamline patient visit (i.e. registration, labs, x-rays, and referrals) prior to patient visit. Coordinates communication between treating physicians to ensure that physician-to-physician questions are answered and the patient receives any needed referrals and prescriptions. Accompanies patient on day of visit optimizing all processes to ensure exceptional patient experience (reduce wait time and trouble shoot any problems).
2. Provides concierge services by serving as single point of contact for certain referring locations. Responds to patient requests in a professional and timely manner to achieve positive resolutions which includes but is not limited to; identifying the appropriate physician, connecting patients to physicians, scheduling appointments, helping patients understand options, gathering medical records and arrangement treatments. Provides high-level customer service by functioning as a communication link between top leaders, patients, physicians and the practices.
3. Schedules routine exams by following specified clinical and time allocation guidelines via automated scheduling systems through telephone contact with physicians’ offices, fax, website retrieval, or personally with the physician and/or resident; uses manual systems in the event of automated system downtime.
4. Interprets clinical requirements to effectively manipulate the schedule continually to achieve optimum placement of cases, customer satisfaction, and accurate patient charging.
5. Completes mandatory employee health, workers compensation, HR processes and other training and requirements in required time frame to ensure compliance with all FPI rules and regulations.
