Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) seeks a Verification and Validation Engineer to join our team based out of El Segundo and Seal Beach, California.
Position Responsibilities:
- Apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.
- Evaluate customer and operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters, and assure compatibility of all physical, functional, and program interfaces.
- Perform analyses to optimize total system of systems and system architecture.
- Perform analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance, and other quality factors to create a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.
- Develop, maintain, and improve planning, organization, implementation, and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management, and technology readiness assessment processes. Resolve cross-functional technical issues.
- Perform requirements management, requirements development, and systems analyses.
- Plan and implement Verification and Validation (V&V) events.
- Demonstrate and generate Test Procedure and Inspection.
- Create and develop requirement verification plans.
- Provide guidance to team for implementation of V&V plan.
- Support and contribute V&V inputs to programmatic reviews such checkpoint reviews and release demos.
- Prepare for Test Readiness Reviews and V&V events.
To meet security standards and protocols, all work is performed onsite. You will work in El Segundo or Seal Beach, CA as per candidate’s choice.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. A final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Pre-Start is required.
This position is contingent on clearance verification and customer concurrence.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
- Ability to obtain a Counterintelligence Polygraph (CIP).
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Active Top-Secret clearance.
- System engineering Verification and Validation (V&V) experience.
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
