The salary range for this role is:
$138,807.00 - $111,045.00
The Project Manager will work closely with Facilities, Procurement, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Quality Assurance, and Materials and Processes Engineering to lead and manage the following types of projects:
- New equipment acquisition and industrialization projects
- Technology insertion projects
- Facility upgrade or reorganization projects
- The Project Manager will be tasked to initiate projects in conjunction with Finance, IE and Facilities teams and coordinate development of the cost budget, schedule and functional /technical requirements. These projects may be initiated to increase capacity, reduce costs, improve quality, improve process flow and / or decrease part travel.
- Effectively communicate the project requirements and goals to each person within the project teams and set & enforce consistent expectations, highlighting and supporting the removal of roadblocks within the given parameters of the organization.
- Monitoring project performance, documenting and working with the team to solve problems that arise, ensuring that the project remains on schedule and delivers a high-quality product to the business on-time and within budget.
- Monitor and track any project changes, ensuring that additional scope is captured, documented and approved by the applicable functions.
- Report on project progress to customer, involved internal participants, and senior management.
- Prepared to perform duties outside of direct job description in order to meet Project commitments.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline required. Manufacturing, Mechanical, Chemical, or Aerospace Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
- 5+ years of project management experience, including 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with familiarity of equipment installations and construction trades (electrical, industrial plumbing, concrete, etc.) from a project management perspective.
- 2+ years computer applications, including MS Office Suite, MS Project (or equivalent).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Program Management, Risk Management, MS Project and Continuous Improvement highly desired.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are highly desired.
- Construction, large capital project, and aerospace experience strongly preferred.
- Experience managing projects in a matrix environment.
- Energetic and enthusiastic – and portrays these traits openly.
- Excellent communicator – can sell concepts to people at all levels within & external to the organization, including engineers.
- Able to see big picture, yet also able to drill down and manage details.
- Flexible and adaptable to change.
- Good problem solver.
- Well organized.
- Self-starter, self-manager type.
- Able to multi-task and manage numerous projects easily.
- Thrives on excellent interaction with people.
