The Emergency Department Director will report to the Chief Nursing Officer. They will oversee the operations and clinical aspects of the Emergency department. This person will be supported by a tenured Nursing Emergency Manager and a strong team of RNs. The Director of the Emergency Department will oversee APPs and establish relationships with Emergency Physicians.
The energy in this 22 level three trauma department can only be described as fast-paced, with seeing over 25,000 cases in a community hospital. The ER nurse director will improve and enhance the department's work flow and operations.
The Nurse Director of Emergency services will oversee the department's quality performance and risk management programs. The director will develop clear performance expectations and resolve performance problems. In addition to these aspects, the ED Nurse Director will also help develop and maintain the departmental budget, as well as regulatory compliance. As the Emergency Services Director, there is 24 hour responsibility to be able to assess, plan, and implement Nursing Care to all types of patients, ranging from pediatric to geriatric patients within the Emergency Department.
