Spectrum HealthCare Resources has an exciting potential opportunity for an RN/Registered Nurse Case Manager at Kings Bay/Mayport Naval Base in Jacksonville, FL.
Job Requirements:
- Degree/Education: A graduate in Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) school or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
- Experience: Minimum of (2) years of experience with at least. One year experience must have occurred within the last three (3) years.
- Licensure/Registration: Current, active, Compact unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
- Certifications in addition to Basic Life Support: Current Healthcare (HCP) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification using American Heart Association or American Red Cross guidelines. Also required to have Advanced Life Support requirements- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Certification granted based solely on computer-based training does not constitute fulfillment of this requirement.
Responsibilities:
- Administering blood transfusions and infusions
- Monitoring patients’ vital signs
- Diagnosing the causes of sudden changes in patient condition and giving urgent treatments when required
- Carrying out treatment plans by administering medication
- Assessing diagnostic tests such as electrocardiograms (EKGs) and radiographs (X-rays) and performing them in some circumstances
- Delivering emergency medical care, such as cardiac life support, when patients are in crisis
- Updating patients on health information to ensure accurate record keeping
- Working with Physicians and other members of the care team to revise treatment plans when needed
