DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Perform technical assessment of oil and gas assets, including evaluation of upstream reserves, development, economics, modelling and research. Conduct exploration and production forecasting including type curve creation and proved developed producing well declines. Collect and analyze data and information found in databases and/or other primary and secondary research tools, assemble a fact base, and counsel clients on a variety of oil and gas topics. Create thought pieces and "white papers" for US basins. Conceptualize workflow on statistical multivariate, well interference, depletion, parent child analysis across US lower 48 basins. Perform a variety of analyses such as benchmarking, completion trends, rig activity, remaining inventory, industry trend identification, industry profiling, market sizing, growth projections, opportunity scanning, etc. Maintain and update petroleum economics and reserves softwares and databases. Perform commercial assumptions review including lease operating statement (LOE) and approval for expenditure (AFE) analysis. Responsible for acquisition & divestment process management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Master's Degree in Finance, Business, Engineering (any), or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Investor Support, Investment Banking, Reservoir Engineer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Engineering (any), or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Investor Support, Investment Banking, Reservoir Engineer, or related occupation.
Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: ARIES; Spotfire; and GIS software and market research platform including: Enverus, IHS, Woodmac and Lens, Factset, and Bamsec.
Job Location: 712 Main Street, Houston, TX 77002. This position requires up to 50% domestic travel to JPMC client sites and up to 10% international travel to JPMC client sites.
