Ensures the on-time delivery of cost competitive products with the highest quality.
Management of receiving, storing, loading, transporting finished goods products in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Role and Responsibilities
- Assist in the management and control of daily company logistics activities so as to meet overall company business objectives
- lead incumbent and upcoming projects to support Warehousing & Transportation Strategy by facilitating communication across various groups, Warehousing, Transportation, Logistics Services Providers and the Sales and PSI teams
- Ensure process adherence to Company HQ Logistics Directive
- Ensure Company HQ’s KPI requirements (for Logistics Performance) are accomplished
- Assist in the build-out and Project Management, Cost & Pricing Analytics, Request for Proposal (RFP), Contract Negotiations with Logistics Service Providers and Inbound & Outbound Optimization.
- Conduct business analysis of overall logistics operation
- Develop, drive and implement cost saving initiatives
- Initiate and lead projects to bring values and improvement
Skills and Qualifications
- Preferred Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s Degree) specializing in business, supply chain, logistics, or accounting
- Strong SAP knowledge and capabilities
- Familiar with procedures on logistics operation and activities with 3-5+ years of Industry experience in Logistics (Warehousing/ Distribution), Logistics procurement (or) Supply Chain
- CPIM/ CSCP Certifications desirable
- Strong project management skills are required
- Strong financial analysis and simulation skills
- Very strong analytical, problem solving written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a changing, fast paced environment is a must
- Ability to make business recommendations on moderate to broad scoped project analysis
- Document and data collection for supporting departments/activities
- Ability to create commitment and provide directions as well as setting up clear objectives
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook and SAP
- Strong leadership with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
