BUSINESS UNIT: TERMINALS
Kinder Morgan is the largest independent terminal operator in North America, providing a strong, reliable network of 144 terminals serving our customers’ storage, distribution, blending and logistical needs. Our terminals store and handle renewable fuels, petroleum products, chemicals, vegetable oils and other products. We have a combined liquids storage capacity of approximately 151 million barrels and handle about 59 million tons of dry bulk materials annually.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- As a Terminal Operator, you will be essential to the daily operations of the terminal to ensure that the company and customer's needs are met.
- Load/unload product from railcars to storage tanks.
- Unload crude oil from railcars to pipeline.
- Perform railcar switching activities.
- Perform locomotive operator duties.
- Perform tank line up for railcars to tank transfer activities.
- Knowledge of and/or operate SCADA system for automated transfer activities.
- Perform all work in strict accordance with Environmental, Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Perform all work in strict accordance with operating policies, procedures and checklists.
- Climb tank stairs, operate valves and pumps, and gauge tanks.
- Perform or assist in the performance of preventive and regular maintenance duties.
- Assist with product transfer alignments including piping, pumps and associated valves.
- Perform facility maintenance/housekeeping duties as assigned.
- Emergency Response Team (ERT) membership may be required.
