JOB SUMMARY:
Responsibilities of the Nurse Practitioner (NP), Cardiac Catheterization include mentoring, leading, overseeing, and influencing the clinical and research activities associated with the Cardiac Interventional Program.
Duties will include coordinating the patient experience for any cardiac cath procedures, invasive magnetic resonance (MR) guided/augmented procedure; confirming patient/family schedules, including arrival time and plan for the day, and ensuring proper pre-procedural labs, workup and other pertinent documentation are completed and documented. This position also participates during the cath and interventional procedures within the NP scope and sees patients in the clinic pre and post procedure.
In addition to clinical responsibilities, this position also participates in interventional and diagnostic cardiac MR research development and the development of safe interventional cardiac research policy and procedures.
The Nurse Practitioner supports the philosophies of the department and is evaluated by nursing and medical staff. The Nurse Practitioner also performs under standardized procedures within the cardiac services per Medical Staff privileges.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's Degree
3 Years of Experience
California RN License
Nurse Practitioner, CA
Nurse Practitioner Furnisher, CA
BLS (AHA)
PALS (AHA)
National Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (within 6 months of hire)
Successfully complete the credentialing process through Medical Staff Services
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
5 Years of Experience
Experience in Pediatric Cath Lab as a Nurse Practitioner
The expected hiring range for this position is $70.96 to $97.57
