1. High School Diploma or GED required. Completion of commercial courses related to secretarial, general office and administrative skills, or demonstrated equivalency through work experience. College credits preferred. 2. A minimum of three years of experience required in a complex academic or corporate administrative environment including office oversight responsibilities, experience with administrative record keeping, and demonstrated accounting and/or bookkeeping skills. 3. Proficiency utilizing computer systems for word processing, spreadsheet and data management applications. Must possess working knowledge of a variety of software applications and systems, such as Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access), Email, the Internet, networks, and other relevant software applications. Knowledge of Datatel a plus. Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new programs/applications which support the health science programs. 4. Excellent interpersonal and written and oral communication skills, problem-solving ability, and organizational skills. Must be well organized and collaborative in carrying out responsibilities in a time-efficient manner. 5. Ability to work independently and perform daily and routine tasks with minimum supervision. 6. Ability to manage sensitive issues with decorum and confidentiality. 7. Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check.
