Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate engineering education in a liberal arts setting. Primary responsibilities include teaching engineering curriculum, further developing the construction engineering curriculum, and participating in the ABET accreditation process. Willingness and flexibility to teach transportation and geotechnical engineering lectures and labs, and a variety of engineering courses including civil and general education courses is desired. Additional responsibilities include advising civil engineering students, industrial outreach leading to student internship and employment opportunities, engaging in professional development and scholarly activities, and participation in university service. The School is interested in candidates who will contribute to diversity in higher education through their teaching, research, and service.
