Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an Experienced Facilities Mechanical Engineer to support our business in Springfield, VA.
The Facilities Mechanical Engineer will support the Senior Mechanical Engineer in establishing and overseeing the mechanical systems and operations for a high-reliability, mission critical operation. In addition, the successful candidate will lead the implementation of a Facility Management Program which is based on data analytics to (1) improve facility status visibility on classified networks for mission stakeholders, (2) implement condition-based maintenance methodologies through rules-based and math-based algorithms, and (3) use predictive modeling to address infrastructure anomalies prior to failure. This candidate will be located at a customer site and perform extensive customer interactions in a service oriented environment.
Position Responsibilities:

- Reviews mechanical designs to assess compliance with customer requirements, building codes and applicable regulations by applying knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, practices, and materials
- Responds to facility anomalies and takes appropriate corrective action to stabilize site operations
- Supports anomaly investigations and implements corrective/preventive actions to address root cause
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at our Springfield, VA. location.
This position requires an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) U.S. Security Clearance with an adjudicated Counterintelligence or Full Scope Polygraph (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.).
Security Clearance/Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):
- 4+ years' Facilities Mechanical Engineering experience
- Customer Service experience
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) License
- Experience using Data Analytics/Predictive Modeling
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
