Job Summary
Just Energy is seeking candidates for a Lead Quantitative Analyst or Quantitative Analyst in our Houston, TX office. The candidate will be required to get an in-depth understating of the ISO protocols. Use the knowledge to build risk models in R/Python for the Risk Management team. Be able to effectively communicate with other teams for the data gathering requirements and present the results to the management.
Duties/Responsibilities
· Research ISO protocols, comprehension of trading activities. Translate the ISO requirements and business details into comprehensive reports
· Leverage predictive models to optimize collateral requirements
· Conduct market data analysis for building volatility models, scenario analysis and stress tests
· Design and build complex financial risk models for commodity risk management and liquidity risk management
· Automation of key reports in R/Python
· Lead key projects independently
Requirements
· Strong business acumen, attention to detail, problem solving skills, and data-driven decision-making capabilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Proficiency in R, Python and SQL
· Familiarity with software development practices
· Familiarity with related tools available in environments such as Azure DevOps and Power BI
· Good code practices such as logging, testing and documentation
· 1-3 year experience in a quantitative field
Education:
Degree in a quantitative field (academic and/or practical exposure to topics such as Linear Algebra, Optimization, Statistics).
