Caldwell University invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor in Accounting. This is a full-time, one-year non-tenure-track appointment, beginning in fall 2024. Teaching responsibilities include undergraduate and graduate courses (both on-campus and online) in the accounting fields as well as other areas of business. Courses may include financial accounting, managerial accounting, cost accounting, federal taxation, intermediate accounting I and II, auditing, and others. Additi...onal responsibilities include student advising, participation in committee work, university and community service, and involvement in curriculum development, assessment, and accreditation. The position includes assuming direction of an active Accounting Club student organization, accounting internship mentorship, and assistance with career placement. Applications are invited from candidates who have broad training as a teacher-scholar, who possess a forward-looking educational vision in the area of accounting and analytical areas of business, and who can demonstrate wide-ranging teaching interests. Candidates with an MBA and active CPA licensure required. Candidates with an earned doctorate in accounting or a related field is preferred. Candidates with an earned doctorate in another field who additionally have an exceptionally strong background in accounting also will be considered. Professional experience as an accountant is highly desirable. Teaching experience at the college level is required and experience with teaching in an online environment is highly desirable.
