KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:
Working knowledge of business English and spelling. Working knowledge of modern office practices, procedures and equipment. Ability to perform arithmetic calculations quickly and accurately. Working knowledge of bookkeeping skills, MCPS pay codes and leave procedures. Ability to perform a wide range of standard office clerical tasks quickly and efficiently. Ability to maintain complex records and to compile data from such records. Ability to reconcile and correct records, as necessary. Ability to prioritize, maintain scheduled deadlines, and large assignments for the transportation depot. Knowledge of MS Office and Google spreadsheet programs. Ability to make decisions based upon experience, good judgment, and established departmental policies, procedures, and regulations. Ability to operate word processing equipment with proficiency. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Good oral and written communications, human relations and organizational skills. EDUCATION, TRAINING, and EXPERIENCE:
High School or GED diploma required. Experience in progressively responsible office, general clerical, and bookkeeping work.
