The successful candidate should preferably hold a terminal professional degree.
At least 6 years professional work experience in the field of, diversity and inclusion, social justice advocacy and education.
Demonstrated track record in advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies that promote success for students in higher education.
Knowledge in recruitment and retention of diverse medical and graduate students
Familiarity with pathway initiatives and enrollment management practices designed to support the recruitment, admission, and retention
Understand of evolving issues and demographic trends impacting higher education
Have knowledge of the communities we serve and major community groups
Event planning
Budget (understanding of creating budgets)
Basic understanding of grant searching and writing.
Experience using technology, data, and social media to effectively build and communicate recruitment strategies are required.
Exceptional interpersonal skills, including strong communication skills and the ability to exercise a high degree of professionalism, diplomacy and discretion, with demonstrated ability to build and steward relationships with people from diverse backgrounds
