Position Summary:
The Assistant Director is responsible for administration, programmatic and personnel management, development, productivity, materials management and regulatory compliance. The Assistant Director facilitates the delivery of high quality, efficient, cost effective and relevant clinical services while assuring that the laboratory maintains a patient/customer/client focus. The Assistant Director will develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies aligned with organizational goals, focusing on Pathology and Clinical Medicine services.

Salary Range:
Annual Rate Minimum $138,800.00 Midpoint $208,300.00 Maximum $277,800.00
Required Qualifications:
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
Must be willing to testify in court regarding testing activities if subpoenaed
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Life Sciences, or related field.
Experience in business development.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and market trends to make strategic business decisions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, adept at building and maintaining relationships at all levels.
Five years of management experience within a complex healthcare setting.
Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) or PA Certification in Anatomic Pathology
Current CA License or PA Certification
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree in a related field
Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
Management experience in a healthcare, academic and laboratory setting.
Understanding of Pathology and Clinical Laboratory operations, industry trends, regulatory compliance, and healthcare landscape.
