A prestigious Magnet Designated Hospital is seeking a dynamic and experienced Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse Manager to join its team. This top-tier academic Level I Trauma medical center, with over 600 patient beds, is dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and advancing medical research. The Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the operational excellence of the cath lab while providing leadership and mentoring to the staff.
In this position, the Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse Manager will assist in the operational aspects of the cardiac unit, supervising the delivery of high-quality, therapeutic, and cost-effective patient care in line with hospital standards, protocols, policies, and desired patient outcomes. The Nurse Manager will support with administrative and management functions. Responsibilities include coordinating and directing patient care operations for assigned shifts, facilitating orientation, training, and ongoing staff development, and assisting in coaching, developing, and taking corrective action with personnel as appropriate. Additionally, the Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse Manager will participate in the ongoing and annual evaluation of employee performance.
The Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse Manager's responsibilities also involve ensuring the effective delivery of competent and compassionate care by monitoring and evaluating patient care processes and outcomes. They will interpret and implement the philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of the unit, department, and organization to staff, communicate expectations, and monitor performance. Participation in unit goal and program planning, development, and evaluation of programs and special projects, as well as supporting continuous quality improvement, process improvement, and risk management programs, will be key components of the role. The Nurse Manager will serve as a role model and mentor, providing competent and compassionate patient care and assisting with the unit workload as needed.
The ideal Cath Lab Nurse Manager will possess a current CA RN License, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), and leadership experience in a cardiac cath lab.
