JOB SUMMARY
Under supervision, performs and demonstrates effectiveness with the duties and responsibilities of the Financial Planning Analyst III job classification. Incumbents independently model, problem solve, measure, analyze, and communicate business and financial solutions. This includes metrics, costs, revenues, and benefits of agency programs and services. Levels of risk are determined, and the incumbent participates in the preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports. The incumbent integrates and maintains data within financial software applications while providing a high level of support and analysis. Independently completes special projects as assigned by management.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
1. Perform and demonstrate effectiveness with the duties and responsibilities of the Financial Planning Analyst III job classification.
2. Research, review, monitor, and analyze financial and historical data and completes financial reporting to understand and explain agency metrics, cost, and revenue streams.
3. Provide support to senior management in analyzing financial information, drawing conclusions, and formulating recommendations.
4. Evaluate and provide business solutions by participating in meetings, compiling business models, and providing business and financial analysis in order to present and support potential solutions.
5. Develop and model financial metrics based upon business and program models.
6. Manage and complete monthly analysis of program profitability and business metrics served. Continually review and improve methodology to enhance results.
7. Analyze, develop, and maintain computer applications, procedures, and related systems to meet the needs of customer and user groups.
8. Act as lead in the program financial reviews and articulate fiscal strategies and desired outcomes.
9. Prepare budgets and manage the development of budget plans and strategies.
10. Act as the lead for the Business and Financial Analyst I and Financial Planning Analyst I and II positions when applicable.
11. Work independently with multiple Agency departments and functions in support of business and financial solutions.
12. Other related responsibilities, as assigned to support specific department/business needs.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
• BA/BS Degree in Business/Accounting/Finance and four (4) to five (5) years of progressively responsible, related experience required..
Preferred Qualifications
• Master Degree in Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Analysis, Computing/Management Information Systems, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Expertise and skill in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) required.
• Expertise and skill in one or more of the following systems: Solomon, FRX, or other accounting/financial information systems required.
