Job Description
The responsibilities of the Warehouse Operations Manager are
Oversee all warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of food products
Develop and implement warehouse policies and procedures to ensure efficient operations and compliance with safety regulations.
Manage and optimize inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing carrying costs and stockouts.
Supervise warehouse staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory levels, shipments, and warehouse productivity.
Coordinate with other departments, such as production, sales, and logistics, to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
Implement quality control measures to ensure accuracy and integrity of inventory.
Monitor warehouse performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity
Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards, including proper handling and storage of food products.
Prepare and analyze reports on warehouse activities, including inventory levels, order fulfillment rates, and labor productivity.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.

The Successful Applicant
A successful warehouse operations manager candidate must have
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field preferred.
Proven experience (5 years) in warehouse management, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team
Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and proficiency in MS Office applications.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Forklift certification and experience operating material handling equipment preferred.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
