Treasury Operations Consultant
Operations and Middle Office is one of the largest departments at Millennium. The global Treasury Operations team is responsible for three functions: cash & collateral management, liquidity & funding, and sources and uses. We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Treasury Operations Specialist with a strong technical skillset to partner with our Treasury Technology team to build out our strategic Cash Wires platform.
Principal Responsibilities
Assist with system implementation of strategic Cash Wires platform, including defining & documenting system requirements, data & business process analysis, UAT testing, payment testing, performing data migration & reconciliation, troubleshooting & root cause analysis
Responsible for cash management system maintenance, Standard Settlement Instruction (SSI) setup, as well as additional bank connectivity and setup
Assist with day-to-day cash management fuctions including:
Liaise with Treasury, Accounting, Legal, Core Ops (globally) and Margin teams to ensure timely and accurate input & processing of payment requests
Intraday monitoring, reconciliation, and exception resolution of all operating account cash movements in/out of the firm
Qualifications/Skills Required
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with a strong academic record
4+ years of experience, ideally within Treasury Operations or Treasury Technology, at a broker-dealer or asset management firm
Self-directed, detail-oriented problem solver with strong technical aptitude and communication skills. Comfort working with datasets in Excel and/or SQL.
Strong data management & analysis skillset. Proficient to advanced Microsoft Excel; Knowledge of SQL, Alteryx, Microsoft Visio is a plus.
Experience with Cash Management, SWIFT message formatting, Standard Settlement Instruction management is a plus
Experience with software system design & implementation is a plus
The estimated rate for this position is $750 to $1,200 per day/hour, which is specific to New York and may change in the future. When finalizing the rate, we take into consideration an individual’s experience level and the qualifications they bring to the role.
