What You'll Do
Prepare detailed placing drawings for ironworkers at the job site to install the reinforcing bars within the framework
Produce accurate and detailed rebar placing drawings that conform to industry and company standards for various structures; to include the material list for shop fabrication
Review shop drawings prior to release and prepare rebar placing drawings as needed
Verify drawings, specifications, addenda’s and information from contract documents
Work with job site and shop personnel to determine requirements for both detailing and delivery of material
Identify and develop information required to inform management team and customers of any changes to the contract
Communicate with ironworkers, customers and A/E on all questions relating to projects including writing of RFI's
Enter all orders into business system and prepare reports to assist in management of projects
Enter all drawings for submission into drawing tracking system
Perform additional duties as needed.
What You'll Need
Minimum 5 years of rebar detailing experience utilizing RebarCAD or MicroStation software
Ability to read and comprehend construction specifications and drawings
AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel Knowledge Required
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently and in a team
Experience and practical knowledge of rebar detailing per industry standards preferre
Your Education
A combination of formal education and/or directly related work experience may substitute for the degree.
