As the Digital Transformation Leader for PerkinElmer’s OneSource business, your primary responsibility is to lead the digital strategy for the business unit. In this role, you will leverage historical data and technological advancements to drive substantial innovation leading to value creation. You will assess accumulated data assets, engage with customers to gather valuable feedback, enumerate potential growth strategies, and prioritize those with the highest potential. The ultimate goal is to provide actionable insights and recommendations to drive the company’s growth and strategic initiatives.
Review & Assess OneSource Business and Market:
- Evaluate data assets accumulated over the past 15 years to determine their strategic value.
- Engage in discussions with customers at various levels to gather feedback and insights regarding the value of OneSource’s offerings.
Enumerate Potential Strategies:
- Source potential growth strategies from internal stakeholders, external customers, and industry leaders.
- Develop and prioritize actionable strategies, including competing on analytics, centralizing operations, developing software services, and exploring new business models.
Rank Strategies with the Highest Potential
- Identify the top 3-5 strategies with the highest growth potential based on a thorough assessment of feasibility and alignment with executive goals.
Research High-Potential Strategies:
- Conduct in-depth research into the selected high-potential strategies.
- Develop detailed business cases, financial models, and implementation plans for each strategy.
Present Recommendations:
- Create clear and compelling narrative and summary slides to present recommendations to executives for decision-making.
- Support the execution of approved strategies by providing ongoing analysis and insights.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 15+ years of experience in strategic analysis, business development, or a related field.
- Proven track record of evaluating business data and developing strategic recommendations.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to create financial models and business cases.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging with customers and executives effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, BI tools).
- Knowledge of the industry and market trends relevant to OneSource.
