POSITION DESCRIPTION: • Assists the Principal in the general administration of the school; • Assists the Principal in the development of the staff, both through the program of supervisory activities and teacher appraisal program; • Assists in the evaluation, review and development of the curricula in the building; • Assists in the development of the master schedule, the preparation of student schedules, and report card processing; • Administers school and systems regulations regarding attendance and student conduct; • Assists with the requisitioning of books, supplies, and equipment, conducting inventories and maintaining up-to-date records, including receipts for such materials; • Assists the parent, faculty and student groups as requested in advancing educational and related activities and objectives; • Serves, as requested, as liaison to the Information Services Department, Juvenile Court, Akron Alternative Academy, PTA, and such other groups or institutions as may be requested by the Principal; • Confers with non-professional staff on matters that relate to the daily operation of the school; • Temporarily assumes the responsibility of the Principal when so directed; • Reports to and carries out any other responsibilities as assigned by the Principal.
