Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is looking for a Mid-Level Modeling & Analysis Engineer to join our team in El Segundo, CA.
Boeing Phantom Works Space creates the next generation products and services for the Boeing Defense, Space & Security business. We’re seeking an engineer for our Space Resiliency Organization that develops next-generation analytical models for our variety of government customers. Our multifaceted team of engineers focus on rapid prototyping to demonstrate a host of mission-enabling capabilities beginning with technology investment, concept development, proposal writing, requirements and leading to the design, build, integration, test, and demonstration of products in their relevant environments.
The experienced Mid-Level engineer will develop optical models, perform image assessments and intensity analysis as a member of our high performing team of electrical, mechanical, systems and manufacturing engineers located in El Segundo, CA. The ideal candidate will create tools and algorithms on internal research projects and in support of unique customer missions.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of related engineering work experience (ie..performing logistics modeling & analysis)
Master’s degree and 3+ years of related engineering work experience (ie..performing logistics modeling & analysis)
PhD + related engineering work experience (ie..performing logistics modeling & analysis)
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
