The Elizabethtown College School of Arts & Humanities seeks an adjunct instructor to serve as the Symphonic Band Director for the 2024-25 school year and beyond. The successful candidate may teach additional coursework in music education and instrument-specific pedagogies (methods coursework).

Symphonic Band rehearsals are scheduled on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:30-6pm in the fall and spring semesters.
Job Duties
The Symphonic Band Director will select repertoire, rehearse, work with student assistants, and present two concerts (in November & April). The symphonic band director works under the leadership of the Director of Instrumental Studies / Artist in Residence.
Required Qualifications
?Master’s degree in music or conducting required; ?Demonstration of a strong record of musicianship; ?Demonstration of significant experience and skill as an ensemble conductor and band director; ?Strong relational skills necessary for recruitment and mentoring.
Preferred Qualifications
?Demonstration of expertise in music education / instrumental methods pedagogy;
