Job Description
NAOVI is seeking a Journeyman FOIA Analyst for the following task:
Primary responsibilities:
- MUST Currently Possess An Active TSSCI w/CI polygraph for consideration of this position. **Note: Candidates without required clearance will Not be considered for this position. No clearance sponsorships.**
- We do not sponsor H1B Visas at this time.
- Respond to cases regarding public and official requests for review and release of classified and/or sensitive agency information under FOIA, PA, or MDR. Support includes determining if request is a new case, assessing what is needed, coordinating with appropriate organizations for SME review, preparing high-quality and error-free documents and artifacts as required by the case, and updating all appropriate trackers, scorecards, and calendars regarding cases.
- Track and update the status of cases in a timely and accurate manner using agency tools as identified by the Government.
- Deliver training to agency personnel on FOIA/PA/MDR policies, processes, and artifacts.
- Support agency and IC working groups as directed by the Government.
- Assist OGC, ICIG, OEEO, and other relevant organizations to ensure agency compliance with all aspects of FOIA/PA/MDR.
- In accordance with applicable law and at Government direction, ensure agency information cleared for appropriate release is available for public inspection and/or copying/downloading.
- In accordance with applicable law and at Government direction, enable enforcement of the right of any person to access records, subject to statutory exemptions, for any public or private purpose.
- In accordance with applicable law and at Government direction, ensure individuals have the ability to amend records of personal identifiable information about themselves.
- In accordance with applicable law and at Government direction, prohibit access to information about an individual without that individuals knowledge and consent.
- Provide inputs to annual compliance reports as directed by the Government.
Education and Experience:
- BA with 9 years of experience in FOIA, NARA/ PA/MDR within the Intelligence Community (IC).
