Position Summary
Monmouth University is seeking applications for a full-time administration Nursing Skills Lab and Simulation Director with primary responsibilities within the BSN program.
The Skills and Simulation Lab provides an opportunity for students primarily in the BSN program to learn and reinforce clinical skills, critical thinking, and reinforcement of concepts covered in the nursing programs. The Nursing Skills and Simulation Director will lead, plan, supervise, and implement the necessary components of the Skills and Simulation Lab facility.
The Nursing Skills Lab and Simulation Director is responsible for the daily operation of the Skills and Simulation Lab primarily within the BSN program. The Director will oversee the preparation, maintenance, inventory and operation of all skills lab and simulation equipment/supplies and collaborates with faculty and students to design, plan, implement, and schedule skills and simulation activities. The Director will ensure adherence to skills and simulation program policies, best practices and safety measures to attain course learning objectives and , course outcomes as well as program outcomes for the various nursing programs.
This is a 12-month, full-time position. Evening or weekend hours may be required.

Master’s degree or higher in Nursing from an accredited School of Nursing.
Current non-encumbered license or eligibility for licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of New Jersey.
3 years current experience either in Direct Patient Care or Nursing Skills/Simulation Lab with knowledge of nursing skills and simulation.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate both written and orally with faculty and students.
Experience with technology and/or computer hardware or software, including PC and/or Mac platforms, MS Office, and the ability to learn new technology and software programs quickly
Flexibility to work evening or weekend hours, as required.
Knowledge in handling and disposal of hazardous wastes.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of ATI resources.
Designated as an ATI Champion
Nursing Education courses specifically in curriculum development and assessment a plus.
Qualifications in Nursing Education, either MSN, DNP, EdD preferred
