Essential Functions
Processes and ships research samples according to protocol specific requirements. (70%)
Follows quality control procedures to prepare testing trays for the next day's clinical research studies (5%)
Serves as Research Laboratory Educator for DCRU and Clinical Research Unit study teams. (5%)
Assists with preparation and quality control processes for laboratory protocol start-up. (10%)
Performs regular maintenance, monitoring and quality control of laboratory equipment (5%)
Performs other duties as assigned to maintain quality in the laboratory and assist the laboratory supervisor. (5%)

Qualifications Education
Bachelor's Degree required in biology, chemistry Required or
Other related degree or experience (i.e. Medical Technologist MT(ASCP) or LMT(ASCP)) Required
Work Experience
Prior laboratory experience Preferred and
Experience in a team setting desirable. Preferred
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Ability to prioritize the work of multiple projects. Required
Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize time sensitive responsibilities. Required
Ability to understand and communicate sample processing requirements to others. Required
Able to work independently on multiple tasks and manage time effectively. Required
Excellent verbal, written and communication skills. Required
Computer skills : Microsoft Excel and Word. Required
Familiarity with basic laboratory equipment, including micropipette, laboratory balance and centrifuge Required
Licenses and Certifications
Certification in Human Subjects Protection (CITI) and DOT/IATA shipping certification Required
