Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Security Team Resource Manager with expertise to join our Veterans Affairs Digital Transformation Center (DTC) OMEGA opportunity. In this role, you will have specialized knowledge and skills in Platform Security requirements and NIST security requirements. You will provide guidance, solve complex problems, drive innovation, and ensure successful execution of project deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define requirements for use case onboarding of SaaS and PaaS solutions following an ATO
- Responsible for all tasks related to cloud security actions required to accomplish Risk Management Framework (RMF) workflows including but not limited to tasks associated with the ATO and security/privacy documentation.
- Manage multiple projects through the entire RMF lifecycle including decommissioning after product sunset occurs.
- Develop repeatable templates to leverage to answer hybrid and customer responsible security controls and ensuring total team compliance in leveraging necessary templates and tools.
- Training and managing a team of security professionals to execute against a significant volume of work in progress leveraging agile best practices.
- Responsible to support audit findings, remediation activities, and documentation gaps as well as train others against best practices to achieve maximum ATO duration.
- Identify process, training, team, and individual strengths and weaknesses, and discuss with team leads to enhance overall efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a related scientific or technical discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience with the following/Minimum of 8 years of additional experience can be substituted for education with the following expertise in the FedRAMP Program methodology, understanding and working knowledge of Third-party Assessor Organization (3PAO) assessments for cloud service providers and cloud service offerings. Understanding and working knowledge interpreting 3PAO assessment findings for vulnerabilities, customer responsibility, and continuous monitoring activities.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience training, leading, and managing a team.
- 5+ years of experience and an in-depth of understanding of Platform Security requirements and experience with NIST security requirements on large scale deployments.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience managing performance and team standards including collecting input from customers and adjusting expectations as needed.
- Expertise in FedRAMP Program methodology.
- Current Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). No substitutions.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills; the ability to break down complex problems into manageable components and develop effective solutions.
