Job Description
The Sr. Inventory & Allocation Planner executes the deployment of inventory from various distribution centers to stores for an assigned product category. This role supports optimum inventory levels to maximize sales and margins, overall productivity, and profitability while maximizing opportunities through the effective management of inventory. Additionally, the Sr. Inventory & Allocation Planner partners cross-functionally to drive sales through improved availability and forecasting, while ensuring limited out of stocks in key programs for all channels and distribution centers.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Formulate, propose and execute inventory deployment strategy (pre-season & in-season), accounting for constraints and inputs, such as inventory levels by store group, timing of product delivery, minimum presentation, and distribution of sizes to support merchandise sales plans.
Ensure timely and accurate execution in support of New Store Openings.
Provide store analysis/insight/opportunities based on revenue and sell through percent targets.
Analyzes business performance, developing insights and translating them into strategies to drive sales and inventory productivity.
Develop and articulate a fact-based analytical approach to store sales and inventory strategy, monitor results, and action necessary adjustments with exceptional change agility; all with the goal of delivering budgeted sales and margin and planned sell through expectations.
Partner with the Merchandise Planner and Merchandiser to prioritize allocation of core and fashion product across channels.
Work with Logistics and Production partners to resolve external constraints that impact inventory flow to distribution center and stores.
Support inventory management between retail, ecommerce and wholesale channels.
Review and analyze weekly store performance/inventory levels; recommend changes to forecasts.
Visits stores to review presentation, stock content/levels; identifies issues and solicits suggestions and comments from field team.
Partners cross functionally with Merchandise Planning, Merchandising, Production, Channel leads, Logistics and Warehouse teams.
Qualifications
5+ years of analytical experience in allocation, inventory management, or merchandise planning
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, Statistics, or related field.
A hands-on, results-driven mentality combined with a high desire to work strategically
Working knowledge of Retail Metrics (Sales, Inventory, Sell Through, Weeks of Supply, Trend based forecasting, revenue and margin), and the ability to develop scenario plans to drive enterprise decisions.
A deep understanding of how to use data to drive decisions and communicate business needs effectively.
Comfort with ambiguity and passion/excitement for building new tools and processes.
Proven examples of “thinking outside the box” to improve processes.
High level of conceptual creative ability.
Passionate self-starter, decisive and able to move with speed to implement ideas.
Excited by moving fast, investing deeply in relationships, and working through ambiguity within a startup environment.
Meets deadlines, prioritizes appropriately, copes well with change, and maintains composure under pressure.
Strong organizational and time management skills; able to effectively manage multiple priorities.

Pay Range: $100,000-$120,000/yr
