We have an exciting opportunity in Poway, California for a Communications Payloads Program Manager that be able to operate in a very free-flowing atmosphere with the ability to create new business, products and technology and see that creation through to fielding and a chance to work on the cutting edge of remotely piloted vehicle payload and system development.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The candidate will direct all phases of the program from inception through completion to include responsibilities for cost, schedule and technical performance for communications payloads development, test, and fielding on GA-ASI aircraft.
Will be primarily responsible for executing both internal and customer funded development and test efforts, both in laboratory and in field settings.
Knowledge of current DOD C4 systems capabilities and employment.
Experience with Flight testing and flight operations of C4 payloads on tactical aircraft.
Experience with pod-based C4 systems.

Typically requires a Bachelors, Masters or PhD in engineering, science or a related technical field as well as eleven or more years of progressively complex program administration experience with at least five of those years managing programs. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
Previous experience developing/fielding DOD communications systems.
Knowledge of operational employment considerations and principles for DOD C4 systems.
Strong interpersonal skills and extensive experience working with external customers.
Working knowledge of engineering fundamentals related to communications payloads and waveforms (Link-16, SINCGARS, HAVEQUICK, MUOS, UFO, etc.).
The ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance and demonstrated ability to hold a SAP/SAR clearance.
