Responsibilities:
Manage workload and deadlines for assigned attorneys.
Handle disbursement and expense reimbursement requests using Chrome River.
Enter, review, and revise timekeeper timesheets accurately.
Maintain attorney calendars and coordinate travel arrangements.
Track key deadlines and provide updates to attorneys.
Oversee client billing, including:
Reviewing and editing pre-bills for accuracy.
Ensuring correct billing arrangements.
Verifying final bills.
Open new cases and manage client files.
Coordinate e-filing and filings with various courts.
Draft correspondence with clients, courts, and opposing counsel.
Generate and edit TOCs and TOAs using Word Styles.
Send documents for docketing, monitor deadlines, and notify attorneys.
Format, proofread, and finalize legal documents.
Assist with trial preparation.
Communicate professionally with clients and other parties via email and phone.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
At least 5 years of experience in complex litigation preferred, but training available for the right candidate.
Ability to work independently, manage tasks, and meet deadlines.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Critical and analytical thinking abilities.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
Adaptability to workload changes.
Experience with attorney time entries and client billing.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Windows 10, Outlook, Power PDF, Change-Pro, and Excel; experience with Aderant and NetDocs preferred.
Knowledge of court rules and civil procedures at state and federal levels; appellate experience is a plus.
Ability to follow court filing rules and procedures.
Experience with electronic and physical court document filing, including federal court CM/ECF system.
Professional demeanor and ability to handle pressure.
Team player, willing to assist others, and contribute to team success.
