We are seeking a skilled bilingual (English and Spanish) Facilitator who, under the guidance of Dr. Paul Spellman at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, will be responsible for developing, adapting, and conducting focus groups related to genetic testing across diverse community groups in LA County that aims to gather insights that will contribute to future genetic-based research projects. Responsibilities include engaging with community partners to recruit and conduct in-person or virtual focus groups, addressing perspectives on genetic testing and health.
Primary duties include:
Collaborating closely with the project coordinator and Dr. Spellman to identify, modify, and/or create focus group and training materials.
Coordinating presentations and training sessions with community partners.
Participating in regular team and local community meetings.
The Facilitator will take a lead role in group discussions, guide group interactions, provide resources for community members, and provide overall support for the team's outreach and engagement activities as needed. These activities will be conducted in both English and Spanish languages.
Hourly Salary Range: $32.65 - $52.53

Required:
Experience in delivering health education presentations to a wide range of audiences.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with diverse community members, university faculty and staff.
Demonstrated writing skills to develop correspondence and other program materials in English and Spanish for a variety of audiences.
Ability to work independently and with attention to detail.
Ability to work evenings and weekends.
Access to transportation to travel to community sites around Los Angeles County
