In your role as a Driver Helper, you will be responsible for the following essential functions:
Demonstrating a consistent, positive image of Ace Distributing, its executives, and employees, both within the Ace team and in partnering with customers and the public
Keep work environment and all equipment clean and free of debris including truck cab and truck bays
Operate all equipment in a safe and orderly fashion
Report any accidents, unsafe conditions, or injuries immediately
Deliver orders to customers in a prompt, professional, and polite fashion
Rotate product
Maintaining professional appearance with company supplied uniforms
Plan route to ensure most economical use of time and equipment
Requirements
To be considered for this position you must have the following qualifications:
Thorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving
Valid Driver’s License in accordance with insurance company requirements.
High School diploma / GED
Ability to perform heavy manual tasks under varying weather conditions
Valid Driver’s License in accordance with insurance company requirements.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. Also, regularly required to walk, sit, talk, hear, use hands and fingers to operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch. The employee must be able to lift thirty (30) pounds regularly; thirty-five (35) to fifty (50) pounds frequently; and up to one hundred eighty (180) pounds occasionally. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Frequently this job requires an employee to walk into the warehouse. The warehouse is not heated or cooled except for the cooler where the temperature is maintained between 32 and 40 degrees. The warehouse can also be very loud due to vehicles and forklifts running. The employee may be exposed to exhaust fumes while in the warehouse.
