ABOUT THE ROLE: This position will provide support to Victim Witness Case Managers in preparation for criminal trials. The chief objective of the Victim Witness Program is to reduce the trauma of victimization and encourage crime victims to cooperate with and participate in the criminal justice system by providing direct services and other program support services as outlined in the Virginia Crime Victim and Witness Rights Act. This role provides interpreter services for meetings, court proceedings, as well as administrative duties for the Program including drafting correspondence; maintaining client and program records; data entry; and reception services. Offering sworn testimony in court may be required.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS High school diploma or G.E.D. and 4 years of related experience.
PREFERENCES: Prefers a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university. Fluency in English and Spanish. Performance reflects the highest standards of professional conduct and ethics. Preference given to Court Certified Spanish Interpreters. If not currently certified the candidate will go through the certification process through the Supreme Court of Virginia, Office of the Executive Secretary with the goal of certification within 24 months. This position must be able to work both independently and collaboratively in an office that values civility, initiative, sound judgment and skilled advocacy.

Starting Salary Range: $64,500 to $69,000.00 Annual
