The Financial Operations Group oversees all financial transactions in the Home Entertainment division, with an emphasis in the process flow, maintenance, and improvement. Our goal is to ensure the financial business functions are streamlined through automation, training, development, and standardization of current and emerging business requirements. As the finance liaison between various groups within the Home Entertainment division, we take great measures to ensure we meet or exceed our core functionalities to provide exceptional service to our internal teams. This department is an integral part of vetting new business initiatives and decision support.
The financial analyst will serve as the finance liaison to various departments of SPHE, including: Production Services, Client Operations, Sales Admin, Customer Finance
Manage digital revenue recognition and reconciliation on a global scale for customers such as iTunes, Amazon, and Vudu.
Assist in processing rebates and validating trade spend credits
Responsible for resolving issues that arise with the returns data processing received from the returns facilities
Generate and verify necessary discrepancy entries to resolve customer related issues
Monitor daily sales, returns, and adjustment exceptions
Accountable for adjustment and order process flow
Work with the transportation management company to process and audit freight invoices
Assist in systems testing for new business initiatives
Prepare ad hoc analysis and reporting
Support SOX compliance
Qualifications
B.S./B.A. Finance and/or Accounting degree
Proficient level of organization, written and interpersonal skills
Proficient level of project management
Detail oriented and analytical
Flexible and ability to operate effectively, accurately, and efficiently in a dynamic cross functional team environment
Demonstrates proactive task management talents and strong follow-through skills
Understanding of accounting and financial policies and principles
Strong knowledge of Windows based computer programs (specifically Excel)
Entertainment knowledge a plus
Experience in JDE One World a plus
The anticipated base salary for this position is $64,000 - $80,000. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
