The goal for the SAE team is to keep our cloud infrastructure ahead of our (rapid) customer growth, ensuring service reliability, performance, efficiency, and security. This person will help create, manage, optimize, and automate the software ecosystem for our HPC clusters, research, and clinical environments.
In this role, you will:
be part of the team that is responsible for designing, developing, automating, and operating the infrastructure and applications focused on Analytics Platform Cloud technologies
be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing and fixing environment issues, and developing the monitoring solutions and tools that will automate daily operational activities
work closely with clients and team members to understand the stakeholder requirements that drive the analysis and design of technical solutions in our AWS Cloud environments
be responsible for the design and implementation of infrastructure and applications’ build, release, deployment, and configuration activities; pipeline automation, optimization and management
work independently and collaboratively with rest of the team and internal groups to gather requirements, prototyping, architecting, implementing/updating solutions, building and executing test plans, performing quality reviews, managing operations, and triaging and fixing operational issues
be on-site at least three days a quarter, and must be able to be on-site within two weeks of request

Salary Range: $116,500 - $282,300 annually based on equity and experience.

5+ years of disciplined use of GitHub or other SDLC/Version Control System
7+ years of advanced knowledge and experience as an AWS Cloud Engineer in all core services and offerings. Azure experience a plus
10+ years of advanced knowledge and experience of Windows servers, Linux based servers, enterprise system support experience, and strong background in systems engineering and administration.
Advanced knowledge and experience with enterprise scale technologies such as Server platforms, Desktop platforms, Exchange Environments, Active Directory, Web Servers, Windows Clustering, Virtualization and Collaboration tools.
Disciplined SDLC development workflow using GitHub, Pull Requests, Issues, etc.
DevOps Pipeline development in a real time operational role for Infrastructure as Code (IaC), software, and Continuous Integration/Continuous deployment (CI/CD).
Experience in scripting GitHub Actions, Terraform, CloudFormation Templates, ARM Templates, Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, etc.
Automate and optimize processes using tools like Jenkins, Chef, Puppet, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
Advanced knowledge and experience with AWS and Azure service offerings, including compute design, provisioning, and tuning.
Advanced knowledge and experience with AWS core services; EC2, S3, KMS, VPC, Direct Connect, and other AWS Infrastructure and Services.
Advanced knowledge, experience to support, and deploy Cloud computing services, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS deployments. Strong ability to troubleshoot complex issues ranging from system resources to application stack traces
Advanced knowledge of system administration and security protocols for client/server environment deployed using Linux and working knowledge using Windows
Advanced understanding and experience working with high availability, high performance, multi-data center systems and potentially hybrid cloud environments
Advanced knowledge and experience with logging/monitoring using tools such as Amazon CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, LogicMonitor, DataDog, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), Grafana, Prometheus, Prisma, and etc.
HPC Product/Platform experience a plus
Experience with Bioinformatics Infrastructure a plus
