A Catch Crew Supervisor is responsible for ensuring timely, safe, and humane loading of Bell & Evans broilers, pullets, and breeders.

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include
training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work, disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Ensure standards of humane handling are followed. Ensure company biosecurity standards for crew and catching equipment movement. Transport fan trailers during warmer weather. Maintain open line of communication with appropriate live production and transportation departments pertaining to customer supplier relationships. Actively work with other areas of live production as needed to improve loading and handling. Manage maintenance of equipment as needed. Enforce company policies. Promote good company/employee and grower relations by using good human relation techniques. Other duties may be assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:Supervise and assist in training your team so that they are fully capable of implementing the company's catching and loading policies and procedures. Maintain good communication with catching manager, company crews, contract crews, growout personnel, transportation team members and contract producers.
EDUCATION AND/ OR EXPERIENCE
Must be able to work (8 to 10) hours or longer. Actual catching time will be approximately (8) hours. Mechanical inclination/experience preferred. CDL driver license is preferred, or ability to receive training to gain that endorsement. Bell & Evans forklift certification. LANGUAGE SKILLS:Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to department staff. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of database software, spreadsheet software and word processing software. FOOD SAFETY:Take a proactive role in assuring safe, quality products are produced by immediately addressing any safety or quality concerns. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must have a valid driver's License. Forklift Certification. CDL medical card.
