Job Description
Role Purpose:
The Sr. Analyst, Corporate Finance & Accounting will be part of the Corporate Close & Consolidation team contributing to the overall Company’s global consolidation and elimination process. This role will assume oversight of the company-wide domestic foreign currency translation and remeasurement. This individual will also be responsible for consolidation processes, elimination entries, hedge accounting, analyses to ensure proper accounting, and close partnerships with divisions. The position will report to the Senior Director, Corporate Finance & Accounting, while also supporting the Manager on the team.
Responsibilities:
Assist with monthly close & consolidation process, including elimination entries.
Manage Company’s FX translation and remeasurement processes.
Partner closely with business units to resolve FX issues and questions; lead business unit trainings.
Oversee company-wide derivative accounting, ensuring compliance with ASC 815/820.
Perform monthly/quarterly analyses and validations to ensure transactions are recorded properly.
Review divisional and corporate accounting processes to ensure overall standardized guidelines are followed and areas of efficiencies are identified.
Support other areas of global consolidation such as intracompany content sales, final data submission to Comcast Corporate, and reconciliations between NBCU and Comcast ledgers.
Provide strong partnership with team members in LA, London, and Madrid.
Perform and review account reconciliations.
Document existing processes and explore opportunities to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
Partner with external/internal auditors to support quarterly and yearly financial and internal control audits.
Contribute to special projects as needed.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
2+ years of accounting-related experience.
Strong / exceptional Excel skills.
Preferred Experience:
Public accounting experience preferred.
CPA preferred or actively pursuing certification.
Knowledge of SAP / AOE preferred.

This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
