Position Description Summary:
The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the George Washington University (GW) Medical Faculty Associates (MFA) is seeking a licensed or license-eligible clinical psychologist with a trauma specialty. Applicants with a strong background in treating trauma with evidence-based therapies are encouraged to apply. The MFA is a non-profit academic clinical practice group strategically aligned with GW.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
This is a non-tenure track, assistant, or associate professor position, with the primary responsibility of providing psychotherapy to outpatients. In addition to the clinical responsibilities, incumbents will be expected to participate in educational and research activities. The educational opportunities include supervision of practicum students as well as teaching medical students and residents in psychiatry. The research opportunities include developing a program of research and scientific collaboration with faculty in psychiatry and other disciplines.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must have completed a doctoral degree and an internship from an APA or CPA-accredited program. Applicants must also be license-eligible in the District of Columbia.
