Examples of Duties
Under general supervision, performs comprehensive clerical work in support of a County program or agency.
Reviews, prepares, and processes records, forms, applications, and similar documents according to appropriate laws, rules, regulations, policies, or procedures.
Reviews and processes applications, and issues licenses and permits for building, plumbing, electrical and other related development or improvement projects.
Processes applications for permits for public gatherings, firearms registration, amusement concessions, and various other public activities requiring permits or licenses.
Reviews and processes criminal justice documents and records which may include citations, warrants, and summonses.
Retrieves, edits, and releases sensitive and confidential information according to established guidelines and procedures.
Updates and maintains automated inventory systems.
Prepares work orders, requisitions, vouchers, and other standard office forms.
Codes, enters, and retrieves information using data entry devices.
Operates office machinery, such as mimeograph machines, photocopiers, fax machines, and calculators.
Updates and maintains filing systems, lists, log books and rosters.
Answers routine inquiries from the public, or directs inquiries to proper agency.
Examples of Other Duties
Collects and compiles technical data and prepares summary statistics.
Performs occasional light typing or word processing.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Possession of a high school diploma or an appropriate high school equivalency. PLUS
One year's general clerical experience.

Conditions of Employment
Employees hired after July 1, 2022 are required to participate in the Baltimore County Employees' Retirement System, with very limited exceptions.
