Position Summary
The Department of History & Government at California Baptist University invites applications for part-time, adjunct instructor positions in Criminal Justice. Review of applications is conducted in an ongoing manner according to need. Candidates must embrace the mission of California Baptist University and demonstrate a clear understanding of, and commitment to, excellence in teaching through the integration of Christian faith and learning.

Qualifications
Qualified applicants should possess at least a master’s degree in Criminal Justice or a related field, though applicants pursuing a graduate degree with significant work experience may be considered. Preference may be given to those who possess a terminal degree or those with work experience within one of the three sectors of criminal justice.
Teaching Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of part-time adjunct instructors are to teach classes currently in the curriculum. The adjunct instructor will prepare and provide students with course outlines, materials, and lectures that support learning objectives set forth in the course syllabus; when requested, help develop and measure learning outcomes; and assess student performance and maintain grade records.
The adjunct instructor will create an effective learning environment through the use of a variety of instructional methods.
The adjunct instructor will grade classwork and assignments.
The adjunct instructor will be responsive to student questions and concerns and provide timely feedback to our students.
The adjunct instructor will support the institution’s mission, vision, values, and policies with a primary goal of providing a quality education for all students attending the university.
