Biorepository and Tissue Research Facility (BTRF) is seeking Administrative Assistant to perform clerical and administrative work to support the BTRF activities. They work under the general direction of a supervisor, and have a demonstrated capacity to work independently as well as ability to make decisions based on standard operating procedures and policies.
- Provide general, clerical coordination to support office operations.
- Database entry and entering service charges into iLab solution system
- Responsible for vendor shopping and ordering reagents, supplies and services
- Work with other team members to organize freezers and sample distribution
- Receive and screen incoming calls and mail, answer routine inquiries, and route calls to appropriate individual
- Type memos, correspondence, forms, and technical or confidential reports.
- Maintain calendars. Schedule and confirm appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements
- Assist with arranging business travel, scheduling meetings, and supporting agenda management
- Greet visitors and provide customer support, as needed.
- Provide administrative support for special projects.
- In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: High School Diploma
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
