We are seeking an experienced Power Supply Design Engineer with a strong understanding of analog circuit design with emphasis on DC-DC Switched Mode power supply design and development. This requirement includes Fly back and Feed forward DC-DC converter design capabilities with low (<_10w29_ and="" high=""><_200w29_ dc="" input="" power="">
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for all aspects of the power supply design and development for RF and High frequency/microwave products. Responsibilities include system power distribution and module level design and definition, schematic capture, circuit design, derating, and Worst-Case Analysis (WCA).
- Responsible for defining EMI/EMC requirements and implementing methods to meet product requirements
- Prepare and present engineering design concepts and data results for IDR/PDR/CDR
- Estimate task schedules and budgets (BOEs) for programs, proposals, and IR&D efforts
- Support internal peer design reviews, design verification testing of engineering unit and oversight of design through production
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience or a Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
- 6+ years of direct power supply design experience
- Prior or current professional experience with EMI (Electromagnetic Interface)
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience within the aerospace industry
- Familiarity with transmitter and receiver architecture and design
- Simulation experience with some of these tools: PSPICE, INTERSIL ISIN, LTSPICE, OrCAD, PADs
- Bench level troubleshooting and test equipment experience
- Understanding of EMI/EMC requirements and implementation methods to meet product requirements
- Experience with the challenges associated with designing space qualified hardware and an understanding of analog and IC circuit design are preferred
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $122,500.00 - $227,500.00. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
