Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with individual needs, physician orders, hospital policy and standards of nursing practice. The RN is responsible for directing and coordinating members of the care team, focusing on the provision of individualized quality patient care consistent with organizational values. The RN maintains a clean, organized, and safe environment, and performs patient care services that support the physician and clinical staff under the supervision of the physician. Primary duties include, but are not limited to: assisting in preparing patients for examinations or procedures; assisting with procedures; relaying instructions from the physician to a patient or authorized person; collecting patient data; and assisting with the coordination of surgeries scheduling. Documents patient concerns, patient messages, and care provided to the patient in the patient's medical record for the physician's review. Administers medications as directed by the physician; performs accurate vital sign measurements and documentation. Provides supervision to support staff under scope of practice.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
One (1)+ year experience in a hospital acute care or outpatient clinic required. Outpatient women's health or family practice experience preferred.
Graduate of Accredited RN school of Nursing.
Associate’s Degree BSN preferred.
Current California RN License & BLS-CPR certification required.
