Job Summary:
Establishes, orders and maintains an adequate inventory of material resources for a medical center clinic department. Assures equipment is properly maintained, repaired and stored.
Essential Responsibilities:
Establishes and maintains an adequate inventory of material resources for a medical center clinic department.
Maintains record of both equipment and inventory.
Reviews work schedule to ensure proper staffing levels are maintained.
Works with Housekeeping to maintain a clean environment in the medical center clinic departments.
Coordinates proper equipment placement in order to create a safe environment for patients and employees.
Coordinates paper work flow, communications, and serves as liaison for all non-nursing functions between other departments as well as outside vendors.
Coordinates timely equipment repairs and receipt of loaned equipment when needed.
Monitors expenses to remain within budgetary constraints.
Audits the accounts payable charges.
Reviews and processes payroll information for members in the department.
Prepares schedule for clerks and receptionists and monitors their attendance.
Assists with in-service staff training, e.g., new computer programs, materials, equipment.
Participates in scheduled staff meetings, serves on committees and assists in other projects as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience
Minimum one (1) year experience with materials management/inventory control.
Education
High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
License, Certification, Registration
N/A
Additional Requirements:
Knowledge of health care delivery systems required.
User knowledge of computer systems/applications.
Must be able to work in a Labor-Management Partnership environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors degree preferred.
Notes:
Bi-lingual Spanish/English preferred. Healthcare administrative experience and Microsoft Office Tools highly preferred.
Prior administrative experience in a healthcare setting.
This is a temporary position for approximately 90 months
