Our client, an electronics contract manufacturing company in Mentor, OH, is in need of an Inventory Control Supervisor.
Pay rate is $21-$28/hr., depending upon skills and experience.
Job Summary: To provide the tactical execution guidance in assuring the material stores operation provides steady and timely flow of materials from receiving to stores, to manufacturing, back through stores and shipping, of all products and supplies required
Responsibilities:
Responsible to provide direct supervision of all receiving, stocking, kitting, shipping and all other Stores personnel. Ensure that all positions are appropriately staffed with highly motivated and qualified individuals:
Ensure that all department personnel are managed to support the operation with timely efficient response to all requests.
Ensure incoming inspection practices are being performed in accordance with the company Quality Manual. Work with the Quality Department to develop efficient means for reporting material and processing quality. Assure received materials are processed timely with KPI improvement.
Work with the Master Scheduler to provide a timely, steady flow of material to the manufacturing operation. Assure kits are processed timely and accurately. Assure materials are returned to stock or returned to suppliers/customers timely and accurately as appropriate. Drive KPIs into the process to assure quality and cycle time improvements.
Assure materials are stored in identified locations with sound consistent practices. Provide strategic equipment and process cycle time plans to assure business flow is achievable.
Provide initial/reoccurring training for all personnel in department. All training to be conducted in accordance with documented departmental work instructions.
Responsible for accuracy of inventory with regard to Finished Goods, Subassemblies, Consignment and Components in accordance to the company cycle count plan and process.
Ensure that accurate reconciliation cycle counts are performed daily.
Responsible to participate in annual inventory (as required) including preparation and planning along with training of personnel required for inventory process.
Manage standards for all inventory transactions including but not limited to: Shipping, Receiving, Kitting, Cycle Counting, Requisition Fulfillment, Stock Purges, NCM and Material Transfers.
Assure accurate quantity count and product movement between routing operations both in Macola ERP system as well as physically.
Responsible for routing of the company van as required for customer and supplies pick-ups, deliveries and material transfers between facilities.
Insure accurate reporting of department personnel for payroll system.
Responsible to develop and implement the stores equipment plan to process material in the assigned area efficiently and effectively.
Responsible to provide a safe work environment for everyone who enters the work area and provided safety guidance on all other company property.
Responsible for implementation of SQCD and 5S meetings to identify key/critical KPIs and drive improvement projects within the stores processes and practices.
Shall be responsible for all other supply chain and operations activities as deemed necessary by management.
Requirements:
High School Diploma.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work on cross-functional teams.
Proven experience in electronic manufacturing stores management.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.
Demonstrated ability to utilize project tools to lead and drive projects within the organization.
Basic knowledge of Windows based computers, MS Word and Excel.
Proven experience with using Windows-based computer systems and Macola or other similar MRP system software.
Experience with designing and developing new store processes to eliminate waste and improve cycle time. Utilize Six Sigma/Lean concepts to drive improvement
