This position is the Manager over Enterprise Data Engineering & Analytics Team 5 with a focus on Data Analytics and Delivery. The Manager of Enterprise Applications is charged with the overall responsibility of the scope, cost, schedule, and quality of the assigned Context Engine applications. He/she will manage all work associated with the application(s), as well as, ensure that proper resources are available to meet project deadlines. He/she will communicate directly with the IT Project Director and notify them of any discussions that may need to occur between other applications (finance, clinical or otherwise). The Manager of Enterprise Applications will oversee the Project Manager(s), team leads, and analysts associated with the application. Any issues or risks associated with the application and/or its implementation should be escalated by the Manager of Enterprise Applications to the IT Project Director.

Resource Management 1. Responsible for the hiring of Team Leads, Application Analysts and Clinical Specialists. 2. Promotes professional growth and development through leadership activities and continuing education and training.
Relationship Management/Customer Service 1. Coordinates/communicates effectively with the Executive Director, IT Project Directors, peer Managers (clinical and otherwise), Project Managers, Team Leads and Analysts/Specialists. 2. Establishes positive partnerships with internal customers and effectively manages these relationships. 3. Provides oversight of vendor relationships and vendor issue resolution as needed.
Leadership/Program Management 1. Provides managerial leadership for project and/or production support staff. 2. Provides leadership, activity planning, coordination and directions to complete the assigned project team tasks, produce the required deliverables, track and resolve issues, and meet the relevant project milestones. 3. Responsible for day to day administration of the assigned application, with assistance from the Project Manager(s) and Team Lead(s). 4. Monitors the status of the project and production support activities to ensure completion of project deliverables on agreed upon timeframe. 5. Ensures quality of final deliverables assigned to the team.
Experience Required : Seven years of experience in information technology services, to include two years supervisory/management experience. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis. Successful completion of the LEADing Self Accelerate program may substitute for one year of required supervisory or management experience.

•Experience in an academic healthcare setting. •Experience at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. •Experience with basic productive software (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
